I wish I could share it all.
Here we are in the middle of June of 2010. Here is a previous 2 year history and my record with the consulate of Brazil:
Departure: Brazil October of 2007.
Return: US May of 2008.
Departure: Brazil June of 2008. Denied!
Visa: December of 2008. Denied!
Visa: June 0f 2009. Denied!
Visa: December of 2009. Denied!
Visa: June of 2010. Approved!
Clearly much has changed and challenges have been faced in the last two years, as is true for anyone. I have been up and down California looking for a cause to hang onto after feeling as if my one passion had refused me. Every prayer is was burdened with my students, and every quiet moment I had broke me, leaving me feeling as if I was another “missionary” who had come and gone with no regard for these children’s struggle. It wasn’t until about a month ago in grievously praying that God would answer this feat, did I hear an answer. That I might return.
In justified disbelief I reluctantly got all my paperwork together and paid the consular fees yet again and made an appointment. Ten minutes in and out my passport was all stickered up and I was on a mission for a flight out. Since then the details have begun to work themselves out with no agenda other than the one that God will set before me.

The school of ReenContro has such a hold on my spirit and all I’ve ever hoped for was to be available to the children and staff of such an amazing holy work. Most recently I have learned that ReenContro (the school I taught at) is, finally, under new direction. The last president that all the staff was at odds with was caught re-routing approximately 400,000 reals matching about $220,000. He was quickly removed and the treasurer from the church I was attending stepped in and has been working to pay off the debt and bring the school back to its feet with his own earnings under the name of our Lord.
God’s sovereignty? I think so.
God has had his eye on this school for a long time and I am so blessed in knowing that His name is finally being represented. I acknowledge that so many have joined me in this venture for health and prosperity of the school. Some have visited; others have been so consistent in prayer. Thank you for continuing to do so when it all has seemed uncertain. We will all question Gods timing and he is always faithful to reveal His purpose at the proper moment. In the last couple years I have learned so much about waiting on the Lord. Thank you for sharing that with me.

I will be leaving on my journey this weekend with plans to return a few weeks after. This visit will be short in comparison to plans previous but this is how it has worked out for now and I will work to bless that.
Join me in this venture in prayer and love. ReenContro still has much work to be done. Teachers still need to receive their salaries, the children still need to receive two meals a day at school, and the school itself still needs supplies in order to better equip the students.
Please donate through the link on the homepage; this gift will be turned into supplies and a financial offering to the school. I know Gods good heart will prosper in this place. Thank you for your interest in His mission thus far.
